Back in 2007, I graduated with a psychology degree and zero clue what I wanted to do with my life. My first “real” job was at a communications agency, and that’s where two things hit me hard:

1. I had no idea how to dress.
2. Being short and slim made it even harder to find clothes that actually fit.

So I started figuring it out. Reading style blogs. Visiting tailors. Slowly realizing that the “rules” weren’t made for guys like me.

At the same time, I was teaching myself blogging and SEO. Eventually those two worlds collided and TheModestMan.com was born — a style blog for shorter guys who wanted to look good without spending a fortune or pretending to be someone they’re not.

That little blog turned into a business. I quit my job. I bought TheSlenderWrist.com (because I was getting really into watches) and grew it 10x. The Modest Man got named one of the top men’s style blogs, and both sites became go-to spots for their niches. I eventually sold them in a 7-figure deal.

Since then, my wife and I have moved from DC to NYC to Tucson, Arizona. We’ve had two daughters, now 2 and 4, who keep life loud, messy, and full of granola bar crumbs.

Outside of work, I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (purple belt), play drums, and try to stay in shape so I can age like Pierce Brosnan (the best James Bond ever, don’t @ me).

These days, I make videos and write a weekly newsletter to help guys like me do the important stuff better:

No alpha male gimmicks, no six pack abs or get rich quick schemes — just practical stuff that makes life better.

I’m also working on my own life in real-time: showing up for my family, building real friendships, and making the most of the years when my kids still think I’m cool.
